Description – This tool shortens your website links so that you will not have to share long URLs with others. It is designed to help those who share URLs via email, SMS, and social networking cites. It also provides data such as the number of users who click on your link.

Application – I can use bitly when sharing URLs with students and staff. With students the shortened URL will make it easier for them to input URLs they need to use for class projects. For staff, bitly will allow me to share website addresses that are not excessively long. This will be very helpful when using email, SMS, and networking sites such as Schoology.

Description – The name MultiURL practically speaks for itself. It enables users to combine and save several URLs under one link. This tool makes it easier to share multiple links at the same time. With one short link users do not have to deal with long URLs that are not easy to share with others. If links can be edited at anytime for the purpose of adding and deleting links, as well as fixing broken links. In addition, MultiURL collects data on your links so you will know if they are being used.

Application – MultiURL can be used to provide students links for class projects and other assignments. It also makes it simpler to share multiple links with the staff at my school. Likewise, it can simplify things when working with blogs, social networking, sites, email, etc. Also, it could possibly be used to share links on our school webpage.

Description – A tool that organize interesting or helpful websites while you browse the internet. The websites are saved in one place making it easier to access them later. The Delicious bookmarklet is a button that can be added to your browser for bookmarking websites that you want to use or access later via Delicious.

Application – This tool can be used to save useful or interesting websites that are helpful to me at work. As I browse the web I can add the websites to Delicious for later use. I will not have to worry about locating the sites later or having an extremely long list of favorites or bookmarks in my search engine. Similarly, teachers can use Delicious to organize resources on the web that are related to their grade level, as well as the subjects they teach.
