Software Narrative:

Pixenate is very easy to use.  Its tools are fairly simple and the names of each for the most part are self-explanatory.  I could use Pixenate to edit pictures for the school webpage, slideshows, etc.  Likewise, I can see the teachers and students at my school using this website to edit photos for projects and other such assignments. In fact, Pixenate would be a better starting point for them than Photoshop.  To modify my image I used the following tools: resize, flip horizontally, rounded corners, sepia tone, change into oil painting, and add text.

While LunaPic is easy to use there are a number of its tools and features that I did not get to experiment with.  Nonetheless, it too can be used at my school.  I can definitely see the students having fun with the different features such as the borders, effects, animations, etc.  To modify the image I resized it and added the following: text, the lightning filter, and taped photo border.  Also, I tried to a gradient with top color white and bottom color red, but adding a border somehow reversed it.

In Pixenate you can only upload one image at a time.  LunaPic allows you to upload nine images, and it gives you the option to select animate images, average/blend images together, choose the size, etc. before uploading.  On the contrary, Pixenate does not provide those choices or any information about file sizes.  With LunaPic you can set your own image size and select the format for saving the image.  Another difference between the sites is that Pixenate has colorful tool icons and a preview which gives it a better look and makes editing easier.  Both programs allow you to undo actions.  LunaPic even has an undo history.  With it you can click the image that you want revert to or clear your undo history.  Another good feature of LunaPic is the ability to position your text where you want it to go.  In Pixenate you could only choose directions north, south, east, west, etc.
