Description – Dropbox can be used on your computer or you can download the app. It allows you to save your files, photos, videos, and other such documents anytime, and anywhere you have Internet access. In fact, you can upload something on your computer and later access it on your phone. Likewise, DropBox can be used to backup your files. Also, it is good for presentations that are done collaboratively with a group. For example, each person a folder is shared with can edit its files. Users can see updates to the files as changes are made. It is considered a safe means of saving and accessing all of your files in one place.

Application – I can use Dropbox to backup important files from both home and work. It would allow me to store everything in one place. In turn, I can share files and folders with co-workers. We can work together on presentations without physically being together. Moreover, my files can be shared with others when I want feedback or for general editing purposes. In addition, my students can use Dropbox for in a similar manner for group projects.

Description – Flipsnack is a tool for creating flipbooks or online magazines using pdfs. These documents or publications can be accessed on all devices and operating systems. Therefore, its effects are can be seen by users of all devices. It is particularly useful for marketing. For example, it can be used to create catalogs, newsletters, magazines, presentations, etc. that look more presentable and in some case may be more user-friendly.

Application – I can use Flipsnack to create our school newsletters. Also, I can combine them all as a flipbook which will be a good way to highlight things that occur throughout the school year. In addition, online magazines can be created as a means of documenting school events and making them more memorable as opposed to simply taking photographs.
