SOCIAL NETWORKING & COMMUNICATIONS

Information – TodaysMeet; created by the TodaysMeet LLC; https://todaysmeet.com

Description – TodaysMeet is a form of online communication that allows users to discuss, provide feedback, and comment during a class, presentation, workshop, or convention.  Likewise, you can open a room for comments or discussions for times in which you can not meet as a group.  A new room is opened by picking a name, selecting how long to keep it open, and deciding who can join.  The creator and users do not have to create an account to use this tool.  However, to gain control of your room an account is needed.  For example, if I opened a room for book reviews and did not have an account, then I would not be able to make changes to the room settings later, i.e., how long to keep the room open.  For the specified time period, users access the room using the provided link or QR code.  Each user will have to choose a “nickname” and join the room before submitting a message.  There is a count down that shows how many more characters you can use in your message.  This will prevent messages from being too lengthy.  If TodaysMeet is used in a setting such as a presentation or meeting, then the messages or comments can be displayed in projector view so they can be seen as they are entered.  Also, a transcript of the room’s messages or comments can be printed any time during the period in which the room is open.
